Formation (2010)
NEUROLOGICAL SOCIETY OF PUNE
NSP WAS ESTABLISHED IN YEAR 2010 FOR PROPAGATING ADVANCES IN FIELD OF NEUROLOGY.
Who We Consist Of
It consisted of Neurophysician and Neurosurgeons practicing in city of Pune.
Monthly Neuromeets
There used to have once monthly neuromeets where different hospitals will present their cases.
These clinical meets are continuing till date.
These meets have very interactive discussions.
IANCON 2011 → Approach Meet
The first big conference organised under banner of NSP was annual national conference of Indian Academy of Neurology, IANCON 2011 in Pune.
After successfully organising this conference, it was decided to have bigger format of neuromeets and thus started the Approach meet.
The Approach meet is organised once in 2 years and are attended by neurologists from all corners of India.It is on of its kind meeting in neurology which has been on national stage.
Invited Lectures
Apart from this, NSP organises Invited lectures from eminent speakers in neurology on regular basis to update practicing neurologists in city.
PG Approach Meeting
Another benchmark in neurology education is Approach meeting for postgraduate students in neurology which is organised every year.
Society & Members
NSP is registered under societies act and its day to day functioning is taken care by executive committee members formed by fair election process amongst the society members.
Currently society has more than 70 members.
Standards in Education
Over the years NSP has set very high standards in field of neurology education.
Public Awareness
Recently NSP has started public awareness drive about various neurological diseases through various social media platforms keeping uptodate with technical advances.
